This listing is for a flute from our personal collection. This stunner is a Pearl Maesta, their top of the line handmade Japanese flute, made in 1993 featuring 925 sterling silver tubes and keys. The keywork and tubes are all gold plated throughout, factory done, with a slight two-tone finish (rose gold plating on the keys and champagne (?) on the tubes). The color variance is so slight it's hard to tell there are two different hues! The toneholes are drawn and rolled. Wall is standard at 0.40mm (0.16in). The mechanism features French-pointed pinless sterling silver open hole keys with inline G, split E (with the lovely on/off clutch which functions perfectly), C# trill key and B foot with gizmo (high C facilitator). The headjoint cut is the lovely PH-7 model which was a design influenced by the fabulous Rhonda Larson (a Pearl Artist for 40yrs) and features a fabulous tone and rich low register while maintaining sweet upper registers with minimal effort. This headjoint cut has been our personal favorite since finding one in 2003 and it's a shame they stopped producing this cut as it's truly fabulous!! The pads on this flute are older, possibly original, and slightly dirty but this flute was recently serviced and adjusted so it is ready to play as-is. This flute is a fabulous player that will literally blow you away. If you "aren't a fan" of most Pearl flutes I'd suggest at least giving this one a try! This flute is cosmetically in very nice (9/10) condition with the only blemishes being superficial light polishing scratches but no dings, dents nor plating wear anywhere, just some light tarnish from being stored. Included with the sale of this flute is the original leather case cover and leather-wrapped wooden French case in overall good or better condition, a Pearl polishing cloth and a wooden cleaning/tuning rod.
